What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet or phone). They let the site remember you between pages and between visits.

"Session" cookies are deleted when you close your browser. "Persistent" cookies stay for a set period or until you delete them. "First-party" cookies are set by elytx.ie; "third-party" cookies are set by another company whose code runs on our page.

Essential Cookies (always on)

These are strictly necessary for the website to work and are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy Regulations. They never track you across other websites.

Not a cookie: your wishlist is kept in your browser's local storage on your device. It is only sent to us when you open the wishlist, and it stays until you remove the items or clear your browser data.

Advertising Cookies (only with your consent)

We advertise on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. To know whether those ads work, and to show them to people who are likely to be interested, we use the platforms' measurement tools. None of this runs until you choose "Accept all" or switch on "Marketing" in the cookie banner.

What the pixels record

• The pages and products you view, searches, items added to your basket or wishlist, checkout steps and completed purchases (order value and product codes, never card details)
• Your IP address, browser and device information, the cookie identifiers above and, if you came from an ad, the ad click identifier
• When you are logged in or have completed a checkout: your email address, phone number, name, town and postcode, shared in hashed (SHA-256) form so the platform can match the event to an account it already holds

We also send the same events to Meta's Conversions API and TikTok's Events API directly from our server, under the same consent rule, so measurement still works when a browser blocks the pixel. Workout, health and fitness data from the ELYTX app is never shared with Meta or TikTok.

What Meta and TikTok do with it

• Measure which ads lead to visits and sales
• Show you relevant ELYTX ads on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, or stop showing you ads for things you already bought
• Build audiences of people who visited elytx.ie and find people with similar interests

For this collection and transfer we and the platforms act as joint controllers; each platform is responsible for its own later use of the data. They may process it outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the Standard Contractual Clauses and, where certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Your Choices

The cookie banner

On your first visit you can choose Accept all, Essential only, or Manage to pick for yourself. Both main choices are one click and nothing is pre-ticked. If you make no choice, only essential cookies are used.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie Settings in the website footer, or the button at the top of this page, at any time. Switching marketing off deletes the advertising cookies we can reach, stops the pixels from your next page and stops any further server-side sharing. Events already sent are kept by Meta and TikTok under their own policies. We ask again every 6 months, or sooner when this policy changes.

Legal Basis

Essential cookies are used under the "strictly necessary" exemption in Regulation 5(3) of the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011. Advertising cookies, and the processing that follows from them, are based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If a change affects what you have consented to, the cookie banner will ask for your choice again.

Your Rights

Under GDPR you have rights over your personal data, including data collected through cookies: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Our Privacy Policy explains them and how to exercise them.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) if you believe we have not handled your data properly.
